<!-- YAML-SNAPSHOT:END -->
This protocol handles the removal of a manager from their leadership role.
**1. Initiation**
- **Voluntary:** A [[OpenCivics Network/Labs/constitution_202508300849-draft/2. Structure/Roles/Labs Manager]] submits their resignation to the other managers.
- **Involuntary (Recall):** A petition to recall a manager, signed by at least 20% of [[OpenCivics Network/Labs/constitution_202508300849-draft/2. Structure/Roles/Labs Member]]s, is submitted. The petition must state the reasons for the recall.
**2. Recall Vote**
- If a recall petition is submitted, a formal vote is held. A super-majority (e.g., 66%) of [[OpenCivics Network/Labs/constitution_202508300849-draft/2. Structure/Roles/Labs Member]]s is required to remove the manager from their role.
**3. Transition of Duties**
- Upon removal or resignation, the remaining [[OpenCivics Network/Labs/constitution_202508300849-draft/2. Structure/Roles/Labs Manager]]s oversee the transition of responsibilities and access, pending the election of a new manager via the [[Add Manager Protocol 1]] protocol.
**Role Term**
- [[OpenCivics Network/Labs/constitution_202508300849-draft/2. Structure/Roles/Labs Manager]]s serve for up to two continuous years before requiring re-election.
- Managers can be removed through this protocol for violations of agreements or failure to fulfill responsibilities.
- The role can be terminated voluntarily or involuntarily through recall procedures.
